    • Development of all microgravity education program concepts for teachers, students and specialty programs for regional and national sponsors
    • Program concept development, and sponsorhip program impelmentation for the Northrop Grumman Corporation and Foundation Weightless Flights of Discovery national program
    • Project concept and development, seed and implementation grants for the Stephen Hawking Micorgravity Education and Research Center; umbrella organzation for all current and future programs focusing on microgravity workforce and education for K -20 educators, students and researchers in the state of Florida (hawkingcenter.org)
    • Concept development, funding proposals for the Florida Microgravity Training program for workforce transition, funded by the state of Florida.
  • Enterprise Florida
    • Development of new facility and alternative funding options: Research into funding programs, outreach to local and federal government agencies for partnership and support, assessment of available properties, and program recommendation for construction of an Enterprise Florida-owned facility utilizing local, state and federal development funding and EFI operations budget. Final result was no-go decision.
    • Funding Horizons for EFI sectors: Consulted with each of EFI's sector vice presidents to outline ongoing projects, identify new opportunities and create a catalog of available federal and commercial funding targets to support their programs.
  • Technological Research and Development Authority
    • Developed concept and secured federal and state funding to create the Florida/NASA Business Incubation Program
    • Secured local and state partners, led site selection, outlined program requirements and opportunites and secured multiple funding sources including Community Devlopment Block Grants, US Economic Development Administration grant for the construction of the multi-million dollary Melbourne Business Incubator that now houses TRDA, its incubation programs, education programs and energy sector.
    • Developed the concept and created proposals and concept papers and breifing materials that secured funding for the Endeavour Academy, a statewide, hands-on teacher professional development institute for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics disciplines (Endeavouracademy.org)
    • Spearheaded all competitive funding efforts to support Endeavour Academy programs through state and federal channels.
    • Secured state funding for the Inovative Energy Technology Program, a Florida-based intitive that provided seed funding to entrepreneurs for development of new energy technologies: Created the TRDA Energy office.
    • Supported all state and federal government relations efforts of the agency with appropriations requests, briefing papers, presentations, proposals, concept papers and required research.
  • Constellation Power Development, Inc., Baltimore, MD
    • Created the community outreach and media program for development of a Brevard County peaking power plant. Community outcry upon annoucement of the program caused county governmnt to place a moretorium on construction. Developed a strategic, broadscale communty outreach program with key messages. Program included editorials ghost written for supporters and comany reps.; advertising; community participation at key events; attendance at pubic celebrations and fairs; sponsorships; meetings with key community leaders, homeowner associations, and environmental groups; hosting community informational meetings; and government and media relations. Results of community survey post-campaign indicated positive or no opinion on plant construction. County commission lited the moretorium as a direct result, plant is operating today.
  • Reinforced Polymers, Inc.
    • Created the strategy and funding proposals for start-up composites company to expand research into mass manufacturing processes for the auto, marine and defense industries. Generated leads, researched potential partners, proided presentations and wrote invited proposal to the The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR). Povide pricipal with periodic updates and funding opportunities.
  • MAGLEV 2000 of Florida, Titusville, FL
    • Led the development of an extensive application for venture funding. Participated in the development of the business plan and other sections of the proposal to fund the development and validaiton of a planar guideway system, and the application of maglev technology for mining environments that could eventually provide high-speed MagLev for the mining industry and mass transit.
  • Florida Education & Research Foundation
    • Secured federal and state funds and oversaw the initial site development of a multimillion dollar clean room facility affiliated with Brevard Community College.
    • Developed programs, directed activities and coordinated proposal developmentt o promote and enhance public/private partnerships among Brevard Community College, universities and Florida industry in an effort to build Foundation Park, a research and industrial park affiliated with Brevard Community College.
    • Actively promoted and sought funding for Brevard Teaching and Research Laboratories, developed the South East Display Center, a consortium of academic institutions, industry, and local and state government developing Flat Panel Display research, industry and training in an effort to secure reasearch funds for affiliated organizaitons.
    • Marketed and promoted Foundation Park and site locations to state and federal government agencies, reserach institutes, and private companies.
  • Astronauts Memorial Foundation, Kennedy Space Center, FL
    • Formalized the organization's development goals and strategy, created list of funding targets, secured funds for the establishment of a computer lab for teacher professional development, created several small scale fundrasing initiatives
    • Organized and operated the 10th anniversary Challenger Disaster recognition event, including VIPs, astronaut famiies, more than 200 media, 1,000 members of the general public, and participation by NASA, the Airforce and Florida government officials.

  • Economic Development Commission of Florida’s Space Coast, Rockledge, FL
    • Developed successful campaign to renew an ad valorem tax abatement program for approximately half-million population Florida County through public election, which passed with almost 60-percent in favor. Developed the outreach strategy, target audience, messaging and response to opposition. Scripted radio advertising and community presentations, wrote editorials and created a comprehensive presentation guidelines package for spokespeople, made radio talk show appearances. Worked in partnership with CK Communications.
